Children meet in the back of the church during the Gradual (song before the Gospel reading) and will walk to the classroom together. Appeal for Support from St Martin of Tours – Relief for Thai Village

(Message from Diocesan Office)

On July 28, 2018, a village in Thailand, Ban Huaykab, endured heavy rainfall that caused a major mudslide. One family of 9 lost 8 members, leaving one alive. This was just one family out 300 people who now have to permanently relocate; their home is no longer inhabitable. The pastor of the church in the village – Pastor Phanthakij – communicates with Fr. Sam Vongsanit at St. Martin of Tours, here in Fresno.

Fr. Sam and the people of St. Martin are taking a collection to send much needed aid to the church that is tending the needs of the villagers after this tragedy. If you and/or your church might be willing to help, please send checks made out to “St. Martin of Tours Anglican Church” and put “Thai mudslide relief” in the memo line. You can mail the checks to: 709 N. Jackson Ave. Fresno, CA 93702Please do this before Friday, August 31, 2018.

Of course, whether or not you can assist with funds, assist these brothers and sisters – and the community with whom they are sharing the love of Jesus – by adding them to your prayers.
